Kentucky Couple Charged with Criminal Abuse of Infant Daughter
Carleena Webb and Shaun Webb have been charged with first-degree criminal abuse in connection with the abuse of their infant daughter, according to The Blaze. The couple faces 10 class B felony counts of criminal abuse in the first degree.
The government alleged that Carleena Webb, after seeing her husband abuse their daughter via security cameras, did nothing and left the child in his care, and that Shaun Webb admitted to suffocating his daughter and slapping her, The Blaze reported.
As this is only a charge, the case has not been decided, and the couple is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.

Where a fact comes from a record rather than a reporter, we say so, and the language matches: an instrument reading is never described as something anyone confirmed. Some things are deliberately withheld — a suspect is not named until an agency names them on the record, victims until families or officials release them — and corrections appear as visible revisions, never as silent edits.
