NHRC seeks action taken report from Telangana DGP over complaint against chief minister
The National Human Rights Commission has ordered Telangana Director General of Police CV Anand to submit an action taken report on a complaint over the non-registration of an FIR against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and others, according to The New Indian Express.
The complaint concerns allegations that public office holders in Telangana, including the chief minister and a government whip, repeatedly imputed false accusations of "black magic," "occult practices," and "kshudra puja" against Harish Rao, the outlet reported.
The matter is before the commission on the administrative side and has been instituted, according to the report. The proceeding is at an early stage and remains undecided.

Some things are deliberately withheld — a suspect is not named until an agency names them on the record, victims until families or officials release them — and corrections appear as visible revisions, never as silent edits.
None of that makes a report true. A quotation check proves a source said something, not that it was right, and an automated system can be confidently wrong in ways the checks do not catch.
