Wildfire Shuts Highway, Burns 20 Acres in Washington
A wildfire discovered just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, in Washington has burned approximately 20 acres, according to the Port Townsend Leader. The fire continued to expand northward into some heavily wooded areas, the outlet reported.
No containment figure has been reported yet for this fire, the Port Townsend Leader reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the same source.

Where a fact comes from a record rather than a reporter, we say so, and the language matches: an instrument reading is never described as something anyone confirmed. Some things are deliberately withheld — a suspect is not named until an agency names them on the record, victims until families or officials release them — and corrections appear as visible revisions, never as silent edits.
