Heat Advisory for Effingham, Inland Chatham, Coastal Chatham Until 8 PM EDT Saturday
The National Weather Service warns of heat index values up to 110 degrees from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Saturday for parts of southeast Georgia and South Carolina.

An advisory covering 17 zones across central South Carolina and east central Georgia runs until 8 p.m. tonight and returns from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service Columbia SC says.
The National Weather Service Charleston SC advisory runs from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EDT Tuesday across 10 zones, including Statesboro, Sylvania, Claxton and Walterboro.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for 16 zones where heat index values could reach up to 112 degrees.
